I know you do this all the time and it probably seems routine to you to provide families with apartments. Allow me to give you a glimpse of how much it means to the party on the other side. You arrive to a new city, anxious about your upcoming stay, exhausted, hungry and ROFEH provides you with a “home away from home” literally! A place to recharge and cope in privacy. I can’t stress what a comforting feeling it is to be welcomed to the community with such warm and kind hospitality.

We simply don’t know what we would’ve done without ROFEH. What we thought would be a short stay turned into a 7 month journey. ROFEH graciously housed us in their beautiful and welcoming furnished apartment. Having a place to call home while our daughter was in the hospital gave us the ability to focus on taking care of our daughters needs as best we could. Thank you ROFEH.

This organization is unique because there is nothing else that works like your organization that gives the kind of support that these families need. The personal touch and outreach is impressive because they can do much more that a single doctor or a single group of doctors in getting patients who need care to the right place.

I am writing to thank all of you for your warm generosity during my stay at ROFEH International. With a sensitive blend of friendliness and respect for privacy of families undergoing a medical crisis, you extended all manner of assistance, from furnished apartment to office help to cooked meals. The volunteers at ROFEH merit special mention. Thanks to them, I feel I am not just a recipient of Chesed but part of a welcoming, giving community. All the volunteers I’ve met have urged me to call upon them again. And staff and volunteers alike have been quick to stress that they’re available for accompanying family members too, not just the patient. This kind of support during this disorienting period has made my stay at ROFEH a truly moving experience. The Bostoner Rebbe’s ROFEH International project is a true beacon of Ahavat Yisrael Ve’Ahavat Ha-Beriyot. Please accept my heartfelt gratitude.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to your wonderful organization and the wonderful people who run it and for the magnificent Chesed that you performed for us when our child needed surgery in Boston. From the beautiful suite, delicious food, all the amenities for Shabbos EVERYTHING!! – you took care of! This you can be sure that we will never forget the tremendous Chesed and Hachnoses Orchim that you did for us. May Hashem repay you and all the volunteers with Hatzlacha, Nachas and Brocha for your families. May you continue to be able to help other families in our Matzav. Thank you ROFEH for taking such good care of us in our time of need. May Hashem repay you for all your Chesed.

It was a futile attempt to convey our deep feeling of gratitude that we pen this letter. No words can adequately express appreciation. The hospitality you graced us with provided the relief only home can during a challenging time. The well-kept furnished, spacious, private apartment, to the complete nourishing and delicious meals were greatly appreciated. ROFEH was like family we could rely upon, from the phone calls with valuable information and offers of assistance, to inquiries of genuine concern. Your selflessness and loyalty are remarkable, creating a new dimension to the definition of kindness. May Hashem repay you with health and happiness, always.

I know you do this all the time and it probably seems routine to you to provide families with apartments, but allow me to give you a glimpse of how much it means to the party on the other side. You arrive to a new city, anxious about your upcoming stay, exhausted, hungry…and ROFEH provides you with a “home away from home” literally! A place to recharge, get ready, and cope with “the Parsha” in privacy. I can’t stress what a comforting feeling it is to be welcomed by the community and feel like we are in a “Yiddisher Seviva”. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! And may we share only Simchos and Besuros Tovos!

Our stay in your apartment made our experience here in Boston so much easier. The beautiful accommodating, delicious meals and unbelievable kindness surely surpassed our expectations. The convenience of a Shul next door with Minyanim and Shiurim was more than we could ask for. Thank you so much for all you’ve done and all you do. May all of Klal Yisroel merit not needing treatments in hospitals in the merit of your Chesed! Thank you!

To all the wonderful people at ROFEH, words cannot express our gratitude to you for all you did for us! In a particularly difficult time for us, you extended yourselves to us in the most gracious manner. You gave us a place to stay, provided food for us and did it all in the warmest possible way. Thank you so much for all your help. May Hashem help you continue your wonderful work, touching hearts and making lives of those in pain easier. Todah Rabah!

When the doctor politely suggested that I seek medical treatment in Boston, I knew that I would have to fight for my life. But I just couldn’t. I had no strength. I was totally overwhelmed with problems. Who do I call for advice? Which doctor would be best for my case? Who would keep an eye on me when I was too weak to care for myself? Where would the accompanying members of my family stay? It was just too much. I thought I’d never make it. One by one my problems were resolved. I soon had an appointment to see a doctor at a leading hospital. A bed was secured. My family would stay at one of ROFEH’s fully furnished apartments. We received kosher meals, Shabbos candles, challas, and more. The dedicated ROFEH volunteers checked up on me and gave me the boost I really needed. Slowly, I regained the strength to fight. With the help from Hashem and a big assist from the doctors and ROFEH, I won. Continued Hatzlacha in all you do for Klal Yisroel.

Everyone at ROFEH was extremely helpful. The apartments were exactly what we needed – homey, warm, and big enough for the entire family. When you come from abroad during a difficult time, you want to feel like you have a home. It’s a huge mitzvah.

I cannot tell you how grateful we were with the apartment. Everything was better than we expected. My parents are involved with a similar organization on the West Coast, and were very impressed with everything. They told me a few times how they can learn from ROFEH. The whole experience never made us feel like “shnorers”. Even the minor details, like the fridge being stocked with enough to get us started, were very much appreciated. Although our stay was for medical reasons, you made it so much more comfortable. Wishing you much success in all that you do.

My family and I are back in our home at last after our stay at the ROFEH House. We wanted to send our heartfelt thanks for your wonderful hospitality, generosity and kindness that you bestowed upon us during our time in Boston. We have been through some very sad and difficult times during the past six months, and our stay with you made our crisis much more bearable. It felt so good to smile and be light-hearted again. It is difficult to express how much your kindness meant to us. Thank you very much.

The responsibility that you have assumed is to reach out to them, take the time to help them, offer them solace and comfort, and where possible, see if their lot in life can be materially improved. As the case may be, that’s not always possible, but the warmth and generosity and kindness which you and your group display sometimes make the burden that people carry a little lighter and the pain a little less.

The apartment was wonderful and obviously prepared with much care and sensitivity. Thank you for everything. The beautiful beds with the matching ruffles, curtains and towels. The immaculate kitchen with the kashered oven and hot water pump. The calling card and the alarm clock. The ‘special’ yogurt order and the paper goods. The kit for shabbos and the Hamodia. The this ...and the that… AND OF COURSE for the smiling staff who answered all our questions.

I am currently in the parent lounge waiting for my child to be brought up from the operating room. Sitting here gives me a few moments to think over the past few days’ experience. Your exceptional accommodations in the “ROFEH” apartments proved to be beyond all our expectations. We were so pleasantly surprised and relieved to see the apartment immaculately clean and “homey” upon our arrival. You basically covered everything, should the need arise. You haven’t overlooked a single detail!! And for that we are eternally grateful. It is hard enough for a parent to go through surgery with a child, and your “technical” help and advice really made it much easier for us. A special thank you to the Bostoner Rebbe and his son, Rav Naftali, for their amazing “Ahavas Yisroel.” Your outstanding work helping a fellow Jew makes a great difference in the world!! I would also like to extend our greatest thanks to ROFEH’s devoted staff for all their help. May Hashem repay you in abundance. From the fresh smelling linens to the spotlessly cleaned bathrooms, it was truly an experience. Thank you to all for a “Home away from Home…”

I recently contacted you regarding a physician referral for a close friend who is very ill. I wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your diligence and your quick response in locating a physician who was experienced with the nature of my friend’s illness and was able to answer all of my friend’s questions regarding the type of treatment and care he would need. With your help I was also able to assist my friend’s family in finding a facility that would provide for his acute care needs. I am happy to say that he is almost completely recovered. Your kindness, compassion and your generous help were greatly appreciated.

On behalf of my family, I’d like to thank you for the gracious hospitality, which was extended to us by your organization, ROFEH International. We arrived very late on Sunday evening, after an 8 1/2 hour-long journey, due to heavy rains and traffic. It was such a wonderful feeling to see your note, directions and combination next to the door of Apartment #7. I’m enclosing a donation to your very worthy cause which does such great work in chesed, hachnoses orchim (welcoming guests) and mainly bikur cholim (visiting the sick).

In July, I called you asking you for a medical referral. You called me back within 10 minutes and put me in touch with Dr. Peter Black’s office. You told me he was highly regarded, but when I looked him up on the web I realized just how highly regarded he is. We will be forever grateful for the opportunity you have given us. The news of a brain tumor is devastating and I cannot find the words to express how comforting it is to know someone as established, as Dr. Black will be providing us with a medical opinion. We feel truly blessed to have been put in touch with ROFEH, and with Dr. Black and for your kindness and expediency in handling this situation.
